Product Description

Some movable equipment and handheld devices will face the impact collision and drop damage in the daily applications. How to better protect these electronic devices and extend the service life of the devices is a design problem that many designers need to face. According to this requirement, we have developed PI series products which have excellent impact resistance formula, giving the polyurethane foam good impact absorption function. By adjusting the density and formula, our foam has a better impact absorption ratio than other materials under the same thickness and has long-term reliability at the same time.

Impact Absorption Test:

· The force sensor can detect the force of falling ball. Read the force of falling ball (F1) without foam on the force sensor. Then read the force of falling ball (F2) with the foam on the force sensor. The force will be absorbed or isolated by the foam. The impact absorption=(F1-F2)/F1*100%

· Drop condition 1: For thickness 1mm~1.5mm, 30g brass ball, dropping height 30cm.


· Drop condition 2: For thickness 0.1mm~0.3mm, 4.3g acrylic ball, dropping height 30cm.

 


The above performance comparison shows PI series foam has excellent impact absorption ability under the corresponding conditions. It is obviously superior to other competitors and it would have a great protection for equipment. Of course, the simulation conditions will be different from the practical applications. We provided the guidance for customer to select materials through the comparing result. PI series is the best choice for the current impact situation.
